Nhung’s father passed away shortly after her birth, so her mother has struggled alone to ensure Nhung can receive a proper education. Unfortunately, her mother has been diagnosed with Stage 4 cervical cancer. All available resources are being used for her mother’s cancer treatment, including daily medication to prolong her life. At present, Nhung and her mother live with her grandparents.

Family situation
Nhung’s father passed away shortly after her birth, so her mother has struggled alone to ensure Nhung can receive a proper education. Despite the absence of her father, Nhung is fortunate to be surrounded by her loving and caring mother. Unfortunately, her mother has been diagnosed with Stage 4 cervical cancer. All available resources are being used for her mother’s cancer treatment, including daily medication to prolong her life. At present, Nhung and her mother live with her grandparents.
To help support the living expenses and cover her mother’s medicines, she works part-time after school.
When talking with us. Nhung admitted sometimes she resented her life, fearing that her mother could pass away at any moment. Nhung has considered dropping out of school to work, but her mother has encouraged her to persevere. As a result, Nhung now aspires to study Nursing, aiming to secure a stable job and be able to take care of other patients who are like her mother.

The situation of two siblings Nguyen Ngoc Quynh Nhi
Parents are divorced, 2 children live with their mother, the mother’s health is weak, she works as a hired laborer but cannot pay for her 2 children’s education. 2 children have to work part-time to pay for their own meals, accommodation, and school fees. The situation is very difficult.
2nd charity football tournament “My shoes on the field – your shoes to school”
“My shoes on the field – your shoes to school” is an association football tournament for companies and benefactors. It is held by the Be Better Foundation with the purpose of raising fund to buy shoes for poor students in remote areas.

Every day in highland and remote areas, hundreds and thousands of children require eating, studying, and growing up to be good people who benefit society.
