Report on the charity trip to Tam Binh district, Vinh Long province 28-29/10/2023

On Oct 28 and 29, 2023, during the trip to Tam Binh district (Vinh Long), Be Better Foundation has successfully organized 3 activities. Here are the details:

1. 1. Mentorship – Thinking orientation, preparation for life:

   Held on October 29, 2023, the Mentorship program with the participation of 4 speakers from different fields brought a richer content, a more multifaceted perspective on thinking for the students.

Mr. Tran Van Tinh – the founder of Be Better Foundation, has instilled in the students the right and positive mindset to face difficulties in life and make decisions for the future.

Mr. Nguyen Quang Sang – Deputy Director of the Center for Digital Content Production and Development of Vietnam Television, also shared stories of inspiration from people he has met in his work and in his life.
Mr. Hoang The Trung – Head of Investment at KB Asset Management, shared his own insights into choosing a major, choosing a career, and future directions so that the students can reach their full potential.
Ms. Trieu Thanh Le – the head of the Faculty of Journalism and Communication at the University of Social Sciences and Humanities, Vietnam National University, Ho Chi Minh City, provided valuable insights that helped the students to better understand the university environment, the things they should prioritize, and the things they should consider when planning to go to university.

2. The Intellectual Competition

On October 29, 2023, with the desire to improve after each program, Be Better Foundation made changes to the rules of the “Intellectual Competition”. In addition to the individual debate round in the old format, the Foundation added a team debate round to create more excitement and enthusiasm for the participating students.
The competition not only provides a healthy and enriching platform for students to showcase their talents and insights on social issues. It also offers an opportunity for disadvantaged students to participate and compete, in the hopes of winning prizes that will help them overcome some of the challenges they face in their studies.

At the conclusion of the “Intellectual Competition”, 35 prizes with a total value of 12,700,000 VND were awarded to students who demonstrated confidence and competence.

3. Mental aptitude test and a personal interview to consider awarding the “Change the Future” scholarship:

On October 28, 2023, the Be Better Foundation volunteer group conducted a 45-minute mental aptitude test and a personal interview to assess the eligibility of three students from disadvantaged backgrounds for the “Change the Future” scholarship.The two rounds of competition have given us a better understanding of the students’ challenges, goals, and future plans. This will allow us to provide the most timely and appropriate advice, encouragement, and assistance.

The decision to award the “Change the Future” scholarship will be made based on a thorough evaluation of the selection criteria established by the Foundation. Once a decision has been made, Be Better Foundation will send a specific notification letter to the students and their schools.
