On 11 March 2022, the Be Better Foundation was established, like a small seed sown with quiet faith and an unwritten promise. This journey has never been easy. It is not only because of the pain of the young people we have listened to and supported, but also due to an inevitable reality: the Foundation’s financial resources have, until now, been almost entirely maintained by the silent contributions of our founder, Mr. Tony Tinh.
We have never taken this for granted.
If a task relies on a single pair of hands, it will, sooner or later, falter in the face of life’s unexpected storms. We know that life is inherently unpredictable, and even a promise from the kindest heart can be washed away without a firm foundation.
From the very beginning, a question still lingers in our minds: “How can this journey continue, even when the founder is no longer here to guide the way?”.
Today, we are honored to announce a major turning point, quiet yet impactful: IMM Group, the company founded and led by Mr. Tony Tinh for over two decades, has officially transitioned into a non-profit enterprise. From now on, a minimum of 50% of IMM’s annual profits will be dedicated to funding the Be Better Foundation, through a clear and long-term legal commitment.
From a personal promise, it has now become a legal foundation.
From a single pair of hands, it has now become a system, inspiring hundreds of other hands.
Sharing his thoughts on this decision, Mr. Tinh wrote:
“This is not only a way to secure the future of the foundation, but also a reflection of my deepest wish: that even if one day I am no longer able to continue this journey, Be Better will still have a stable source of funding and will continue to spread love, opportunity, and hope to those in need. This decision is also a powerful motivation for me not to run away from life, but to continue working, and for our team to continue striving to build an even more sustainable and stronger enterprise. In this way, we can achieve our goal of changing 1,000 lives by 2060.”
This decision changed the financial structure of the Foundation. Furthermore, it serves as a wooden pillar driven deep into the ground, helping the “Be Better house” stand strong, even in the midst of great storms.
To us, listeners to inescapable stories, this is not just an announcement; it is an inheritance, a gentle but resolute reminder: “This journey must not stop, even if the founder is no longer with us”.
We have seen many people come then leave, and many charitable projects launch and then vanish as a few dedicated individuals grow weary. We understand that in addition to kindness, a charitable organization needs a strong structure to last in the long-term. And today, we have received a part of that foundation from IMM Group to build our house.
Be Better has never been just a project; it has always been a long journey.
A journey once led by an individual is now supported by a strong network. A journey once fueled by faith is now supported by corporate sponsorships and a legal framework.
Another important part of this journey comes from the community, from you: the generous donors who have always given silent support, the volunteers who have helped on every trip, the philanthropic friends who have walked alongside us every step of the way, or simply those who have followed and believed in the Be Better journey.
We are grateful to you! Without your silent presence, no one would be here to inspire us. Without “silent philanthropists” like you, the Foundation’s journey of spreading kindness from the heart would not have gone very far.
We understand that in these volatile and uncertain times, kindness must sometimes take a back seat to daily worries, making it difficult for people to keep giving.
