A computer is a gateway to knowledge, to connection, and to building a better future.
Perhaps the old computer or unused laptop sitting forgotten in your drawer is, to a disadvantaged student, the embodiment of a dream.
Students who leave their rural homes to study in big cities bear the burdens of living expenses, including rent, food, and tuition. They often have to work part-time jobs to cover those expenses. Therefore, the idea of owning a laptop worth a few million Vietnamese dong for study seems to be beyond the capacity of most students.
In 2024, thanks to the kindness of generous donors, 15 laptops, worth a total of VND 76,868,371, were handed over to 15 underprivileged students in just over two weeks. These were not merely 15 devices, but 15 symbols of hope and opportunity, empowering students to move forward in their academic journeys.
For the 2025–2026 school year, Be Better Foundation continues this meaningful effort with the campaign: “A used laptop today – A better future tomorrow”. Our goal is to support scholarship recipients of the Change the Future program with either a new computer or a used laptop in good working condition that meets basic academic needs.
(Regarding used laptops, Be Better hopes that each donated device can support at least two students over its extended lifecycle. Therefore, we hope that laptops would be capable of handling essential tasks such as Word, Excel, PowerPoint, browsing with 5–7 tabs open simultaneously, and applications like Zalo and Zoom for online learning.)
