On 16th and 17th March 2024, Be Better’s charity team successfully completed a volunteer trip to three high schools in Binh Tan District, Vinh Long Province: Tan Quoi High School, Tan Luoc High School, and My Thuan High School.
The activities undertaken in Binh Tan were as follows:

- Mentorship Program – Guiding Mindsets and Preparing for Life
This key program, financed by Be Better, was held on the morning of March 17, 2024.
The session featured speakers: Mr. Tran Van Tinh (Tony Tinh) – Founder of the Foundation, and Mr. Hoang The Trung – Head of the Investment Department at KB Asset Management.
Both speakers provided the 12th-grade students with valuable lessons, experiences, and perspectives on making future decisions, finding and pursuing suitable career paths, and shared advice and thoughts on students’ questions and concerns.
In addition to the involvement of speakers, the success of the mentorship program was also attributable to the participation of over 200 students from the three schools.

2. “The Elite” Competition
Held alongside the Mentorship program, the “Knowledgeable Person” competition allowed students to engage in discourse, showcase their talents and skills, and express their perspectives on tangible future concerns.
With four questions, Be Better successfully identified the winners of the competition: 1 team first prize, 1 team second prize, 3 individual first prizes, and 4 individual second prizes. The total prize value was 7,600,000 VND.

3. Scholarship Selection for “Changing the Future”
The total number of scholarship applications from the three schools (Tan Quoi, Tan Luoc, and My Thuan) was 45 students.
Of these, 31 students were selected for the mindset test and interview for the “Changing the Future” scholarship. Specifically:
– Tan Quoi High School: 8 students.
– Tan Luoc High School: 17 students.
– My Thuan High School: 6 students.

A 45-minute thinking test and a 15-minute direct interview were conducted by Be Better in order to gain a deeper understanding of the students’ circumstances, mindsets, and goals. However, the scholarship results will be evaluated based on various criteria and processes. Afterward, the fund will notify the schools and students of the results.
4. Scholarship Awards for Orphaned from Poor/Low-Income Students
On 17th March 2024, Be Better awarded 13 scholarships to orphaned students from poor/low-income families. This included:
- 12 scholarships worth 2 million VND each for 12 students from poor/low-income families, either orphaned by father or mother.
- 1 scholarship worth 3 million VND for a student from poor/low-income families, orphaned by both parents.

While material support cannot fully compensate for the emotional pain and loss experienced by these students, Be Better hopes this will serve as a source of spiritual encouragement for the students to persevere in their studies and provide them with assistance to navigate life’s challenges.
The two-day trip to Binh Tan District left us with many reflections. We hope that benefactors and kind-hearted individuals will continue to support these students and others in similar difficult circumstances across the country.
Let’s work together with Be Better to create positive change!
