INTRODUCTION
Be Better Foundation continued our journeys of sowing the seeds of knowledge by organizing the 24th and 25th Mentorship Program at the Hall of the People’s Committee of Song Phu Commune, Vinh Long Province, on 13 and 14 September 2025. The program was held in collaboration with the Board of Principals and teachers of Song Phu High School and Long Phu Secondary and High School.
The program took place in a lively, enthusiastic atmosphere, with nearly 300 students from Song Phu High School and more than 200 from Long Phu Secondary and High School. This was not only an opportunity for students to connect and learn from peers, but also an important preparatory step for their journey into adulthood, when they have to make decisions and grow up.
I. OBJECTIVES & CORE VALUES
The Mentorship Program in September 2025 is designed as a journey to accompany students in the early stages of their adulthood. Staying true to its core value of “Sharing experiences, knowledge, and future orientation,” the program continued to convey values through real-life stories and heartfelt sharing from the mentors. Through these sessions, students not only gained knowledge but also gradually developed independent thinking, a positive attitude toward life, and awareness of their own future path.
Remarkably, in this academic year, the Mentorship Program has been further developed with the addition of a practical situational challenge, designed to create a positive experiential environment. This approach not only helps students visualize more concretely the challenges they may face in the future but also encourages them to build confidence, cultivate critical thinking, foster teamwork, and develop the courage to face difficulties.
We believe that when students have the chance to listen, challenge themselves, and be trusted, they will learn to believe in themselves.
II. MAIN ACTIVITIES
The program began with musical performances and ice-breaking games that fostered a sense of connection and helped students feel more confident to enter the main activity, “A person of wisdom” competition. This was the highlight of the Mentorship program, designed in two versions:
- At Song Phu High School: a group presentation challenge featuring four teams, each consisting of six members, working together to solve assigned situations and present their ideas through a mind map.
- At Long Phu Secondary and High School: a debate challenge consisting of four questions (three team questions and one individual question). Each team of three members presented their viewpoints and engaged in debates with the opposing team.
In addition, students also had the opportunity to listen to meaningful sharing and real-life insights from two guest speakers of the Be Better Foundation. The sessions covered a wide range of thought-provoking topics that encouraged multidimensional thinking, such as distinguishing between the subject you are best at and the job you are best suited for to orient their future career, and exploring the four fundamental pillars of Body – Mind – Wisdom – Virtue for comprehensive personal development.
III. RESULTS AND IMPACTS

IV. REFLECTION AND VISION
The most valuable gift the Mentorship Program has received is the development of the students: their confidence in presenting, their sharpness in debate, their team spirit, and, most importantly, their heartfelt reflections:
“I have become more mature in my thoughts, more composed in my behavior, and more confident when facing challenges. I no longer fear failure but consider it a valuable lesson. The program has not only given me knowledge, but also the belief that I can shape my own future through perseverance and continuous effort.” – Nguyen Thi Bao Thy (Long Phu Secondary and High School)
“There is a saying: ‘Sow a thought, reap an action; sow an action, reap a habit; sow a habit, reap a character; sow a character, reap a destiny.’ Indeed, our journey of self-development never ends. On my path to maturity, the Mentorship Program has helped me prepare more firmly for life ahead.” – Pham Truong Giang (Song Phu High School).
“The program strengthened my belief in my dream as I came to understand that knowledge and willpower are the most powerful weapons a person can possess. I would like to express my gratitude to the Be Better Foundation and the Mentorship Program, to Mr. Tinh, Mr. Trung, and everyone who has spread positivity and helped us gain a more objective perspective on our own lives.” – Nguyen Hoang Nam (Long Phu Secondary and High School)
After the 24th and 25th Mentorship Programs, the Be Better Foundation realized the importance of suitable spaces and opportunities for students to develop positive thinking and attitudes. This serves as the driving force for the Foundation’s team to continue expanding the program and diversifying experiences so that every student may have a space to shine in their own way.
V. OUR DEEPEST GRATITUDE
Be Better Foundation would like to express our sincere gratitude to the Board of Principals and teachers of Song Phu High School and Long Phu Secondary and High School, the People’s Committee of Song Phu Commune, the guest speakers, benefactors, volunteers, and all the students who accompanied and contributed to the success of the 24th and 25th Mentorship Programs.
The Foundation hopes that the journey of “Sharing experiences, knowledge, and future orientation” will continue to spread meaningful values and be supported by schools and students in the future.
