The “From Me to Community” contest came to a close, leaving behind a whirlwind of emotions and deeply moving stories from students who had once been part of the Mentorship Program. Each piece of writing captured an honest glimpse of their growth journey – a space where they dared to listen to their inner voice and spread kindness to those around them.
Among them, Chung Hoang Thai – student of class 11A6, Binh Minh High School – captured the hearts of both the judges and the community with a sincere, simple, yet profoundly heartfelt piece.
Thai shared: “Attitude is the core foundation of who we are. Skills are the pillars we lean on in life. And knowledge will take us to the peak of our potential. Knowledge is limitless – teachers can equip us with the basics, but never everything. That’s why self-learning and actively enriching ourselves are essential to becoming better, to filling in the gaps, and completing our best version.”
Thai’s writing speaks gently, without embellishment, but it leaves a deep emotional imprint on the Foundation. He recounted his Mentorship journey in his own way – authentic, close, and reflective of a transformation in mindset and awareness after every session of listening and sharing. Line by line, the judges could sense a shift – from a student filled with questions to a young person who knows what he wants and dares to dream. This was a submission that made us feel affection, faith, and joy for him.
