Discovering one’s core values is the compass that guides students to where they truly want to go, instead of following paths laid out by others or shaped by social trends. Mentorship was born from that spirit: real experiences and real lessons are shared to help students prepare essential foundations, so they can stand firmly on their own.
The 32nd Mentorship program held last Saturday morning at Thanh An High School in Can Tho, officially marked the launch of the 2026 Mentorship season. The school, located approximately 200 km from Ho Chi Minh City, is also the first high school in Can Tho where Be Better has connected to organize the program for nearly 220 11th and 12th-grade students. The Be Better Foundation would like to express our sincere appreciation to the School Board and teachers for their trust and partnership in creating a new learning space, where students are heard, encouraged to exchange ideas, and empowered to share their thoughts on life and future aspirations.
From initial moments of hesitation, the program gradually opened up a space for honest dialogue through real-life stories. Through each topic introduced by the Foundation, students discussed, presented, and engaged in critical thinking, viewing issues from multiple perspectives, not simply as right or wrong, but as appropriate or not yet appropriate.
Mentorship does not provide ready-made answers for students to follow. Instead, through care and knowledge shared, students are empowered to choose the paths they want to take and will take, aligned with their circumstances and abilities, gaining a deeper understanding of themselves, and becoming ready to step out of their comfort zones of family and school after graduation.
After more than five hours of the program, Be Better believes that “good seeds” have been planted. These are broader perspectives on the future and life, going beyond the initial questions of choosing a major or career. Through real lessons, real experiences, and heartfelt support, the Fund hopes the program will become a source of inspiration for students to explore their potential, recognize their own values, and use those values as a compass to guide their future paths.
