Due to family upheavals, Duy Bang’s parents decided to divorce. After the separation, Duy Bang and his mother were left empty-handed, without even a small plot of land or a shelter to call home. Since then, they have relied on each other, living together in a rented room. Over the years, his mother has worked tirelessly to cover their living expenses and Duy Bang’s education costs on a modest factory worker’s salary. Now over 50, her health is no longer what it once was, yet she continues to work long hours, from early morning to late evening, hoping to meet their basic needs.
Now, it’s just the two of them, supporting each other. If Duy Bang cannot continue his education, his future and his ability to care for his mother in her later years will be uncertain. Yet, pursuing higher education is also a heavy financial strain for them both.
The first milestone toward a brighter future arrived when Tran Duy Bang became a freshman in Graphic Design at Cuu Long University. With the backing of the Be Better Foundation, and his own determination and resilience, Duy Bang is set on a path to growth, working to fulfill his dreams and the hopes of those who have supported him along the way.
