Adversity struck when her father had to battle a life-threatening cancer, placing the full weight of the family’s burden on her mother and older brother. Yet, in the midst of life’s turbulence, the freshman Minh Anh did not falter as she continued to nurture the flame of hope, aspiring to become a nurse so that she can care for those less fortunate.

Family situation
Minh Anh grew up in the full love of her parents, even though both are now in their sixties. At this age, her father should have relaxed instead of fighting a life-threatening cancer. Despite their advanced age and various health conditions, both her parents continue to work in the rice fields to earn extra income and support her education. Minh Anh has an older brother who is currently a doctor at Trung Vuong Hospital in Ho Chi Minh City. He once overcame difficult circumstances to pursue his studies. Today, he bears the full financial burden of the family. However, given the current situation, Minh Anh’s path to higher education faces many challenges without additional support.
Minh Anh is a kind-hearted, gentle girl, full of compassion and empathy. She has always longed to care for and help others, which is why she was determined to pursue a career in healthcare. Now, Minh Anh has taken her first step toward that dream as she became a nursing freshman at Pham Ngoc Thach University of Medicine.
However, the journey ahead will be filled with challenges, especially as her father continues his battle with a serious illness.

- The Be Better Foundation will conduct an annual review for the renewal of the “Change the Future” scholarship. This review aims to closely monitor and evaluate improvements in students’ personal, financial, and academic conditions. Continued support is contingent upon students showing measurable progress in their studies and personal lives, while also meeting the Foundation’s criteria.
