From the moment he was born, Van Han never knew his father. His mother single-handedly worked to support her four children. Due to their difficult financial situation, his eldest sister had to drop out of school early to help their mother take care of the younger siblings.
Currently, Van Han lives with his grandmother, who, due to her old age and declining health, can only manage household chores for the children. His mother, now struggling with bone and joint problems, works far from home for a meager salary. Among his siblings, one has a speech disability and is unable to attend school due to communication difficulties.
Understanding the heavy burden on his mother and sister – who must not only cover daily living expenses but also ensure that he and his youngest sibling can continue their education – Van Han is determined to secure a scholarship to study automotive repair. His dream is to learn the trade, open his own repair shop, and achieve financial stability so he can take care of his family and build a strong, secure home for his mother and grandmother. His future aspirations depend on the foundation of his education, but the financial challenges of attending university loom large.
With unwavering perseverance, Van Han successfully passed the entrance exam and was admitted to the Automotive Engineering Technology program at Vinh Long University of Technology Education. The Be Better Foundation firmly believes that with his dedication and hard work, Van Han will achieve a brighter and more promising future.
