Lan Anh’s mother passed away when she was very young, leaving behind three small children for their father to care for. Their father had to juggle between various jobs all by himself to earn enough to provide for Lan Anh and her two siblings. Out of the three siblings, only Lan Anh has the opportunity to attend school. One of her younger siblings couldn’t go to school due to a cognitive impairment, and the other sibling had to sacrifice his future, dropping out of school in the 4th grade because of their family’s extreme poverty. Lan Anh has been aware of her family’s difficult circumstances from a very young age. After school, she usually tries to find additional work, like cashew nut picking, to earn some extra money to help her father support their family. However, no matter how hard she tries, the family’s difficulties persist, and the gateway to university would remain a significant challenge if Lan Anh doesn’t receive any assistance.
With determination and hope for changing her family’s situation, Lan Anh is making daily efforts to become a specialist in counseling and psychological therapy. She hopes to secure a stable job in the future to provide her family with a more complete and happier life. She also aims to help those in need, especially children facing circumstances similar to her own.
