Family situation
Y Nhi Linh resides with her ethnic minority community in Mang Den town, Kon Plong district – one of the poorest districts in Vietnam – within Kon Tum province . Life in this town is marked by numerous challenges due to the lack of access to necessities.
Y Nhi Linh’s family consists of four members, with both parents working tirelessly as farmers to support their two daughters’ studies. Nhi Linh boards at school, but whenever she has free time at home, she helps her parents catch crabs and gather snails to earn extra income for the family’s expenses. Despite these difficult circumstances, Y Nhi Linh keeps making efforts and diligently attends school with the hope of achieving a brighter future.
Support from Be Better Foundation
- Pay the entire cost of their schooling, including tuition fees, medical insurance, books, uniforms, stationery, etc.
- After the student finishes grade 9, the Foundation will advise her to either enroll in vocational schools or go to senior high school depending on her ability and situation
- Condition: The Foundation will only support her on the condition that she maintains her studies until graduation.
