The final days of a year carry a particular kind of feeling — a quiet weight of reflection, a gentle rush of anticipation. As families across Vietnam bustle through the preparations for Tet, the Be Better Foundation chooses these closing moments for something quietly powerful: to plant one more seed of knowledge before the year turns. On February 8th, 2026, that seed was sown at My Phuoc High School, My Phuoc Commune, Vinh Long Province — the site of our 35th Mentorship trip, and the last chapter of a year marked by tireless dedication. It was a closing milestone, a breath taken before stepping forward into a new year filled with new hope for the students we serve.
Though this was Be Better’s first time visiting the school — and the students’ first encounter with the Foundation’s work — the warmth of their reception surpassed every expectation. The students of My Phuoc High School carried themselves with a quiet, gentle demeanor, a kind of soft-spoken stillness that felt almost contemplative. But as the program unfolded and the conversations deepened, something remarkable happened: the stillness gave way to openness, and the openness blossomed into confidence. In every presentation, in every exchange of ideas and spirited discussion, each student revealed an eagerness to learn that was simply impossible to ignore. Watching that initial shyness dissolve into animated, self-assured engagement — that transformation was, without question, the most precious gift our team brought home from My Phuoc.
Alongside the students’ inspiring spirit, the Be Better Foundation extends its deepest gratitude to the school itself. From the very first moment of our arrival, the administration and faculty of My Phuoc High School embraced us with a generosity that felt entirely natural — as though we were returning guests rather than first-time visitors. Every detail had been thoughtfully prepared: the arrangement of the stage, the seating, the seamless flow of the program’s coordination. Their professionalism, warmth, and deep sense of responsibility transformed the atmosphere of the morning into something far more intimate than a formal event. It felt, truly, like a gathering of family — and on those final days of the year, that warmth meant more than words can easily say.
To the Principal, Vice-Principals, and every teacher at My Phuoc High School: thank you — with full sincerity — for opening your doors and making space for this connection to happen. To the parents, and to every Grade 11 and Grade 12 student who chose to show up fully that morning — listening intently, engaging wholeheartedly, and staying present until the very last moment — thank you. That morning was more than a knowledge-sharing session. It was a meeting of kind hearts, united in a common belief in the young people who will shape our tomorrow.
To the entire My Phuoc community: may the new year bring you peace, good health, and every good thing you deserve on the road ahead. 🌿
