Continuing the series of charity activities, Mr. Tran Van Tinh presented 200 gifts to disadvantaged people in Binh Minh District, Vinh Long Province, on July 12, 2014.
There still have many unfortunate lives
Binh Minh District is a locality with numerous lonely people and those in extremely difficult circumstances of Vinh Long Province. For many families here, finding their daily food is extremely difficult. In the struggle to make a living, they have to do all kinds of jobs, from selling lottery tickets, picking up bottles, selling vegetables, selling fish, to even catching crabs and snails. Sadly, they can only earn from VND 20,000 to VND 30,000 per day.
However, those are not the most unfortunate fates. Many people here don’t even have a home; their lives just revolve around a small hut under a bridge. They do everything possible to earn a living, but life is hard. Understanding these hardships, Mr. Tinh arranged to give gifts to disadvantaged people in the whole district.
More than 200 meaningful gifts
With the help of Tony’s family, Mr. Tinh prepared 200 gifts, each containing sugar, monosodium glutamate, noodles, rice, soy sauce, and an envelope with VND 300,000. Tony himself and his family members carefully prepared each gift to send to the needy. In addition to Tony and his family, the gift distribution ceremony witnessed the presence of representatives of the People’s Committee of Communes, the Red Cross Society, and the Fatherland Front Committee of Binh Minh District.
