Family situation

Thuan’s stepfather works as a garment worker. Unfortunately, he usually physically abuses Thuan. Recognizing his difficult circumstances, Thuan’s teachers have helped him to move out to continue his studies. Even though having to take care of himself, Thuan refuses to abandon his dream of pursuing higher education. He believes that studying at university will help him secure a stable job. As a result, he will be able to support his family, reconcile with his father, and help others in need.

Her mother sells vegetarian noodles, earning about 100,000 VND per day, which is just enough to cover their daily meals. Nhat Anh's parents have 6 children, and three of them are still attending school. Nhat Anh and her twin sister, Minh Anh, are in 12th grade. Their family is facing severe hardship and doesn't have enough money to support their education.
