Family situation

Quynh Giao’s family was once able to get by on her father’s teacher’s salary. Her mother was also a kindergarten teacher, but she was laid off due to government policy. As a result, only her father could earn a living. Unfortunately, a sudden tragedy befell the family when they learned that her father had very serious kidney disease. Her mother had to find ways to raise money for his treatment, and the family’s meager savings were all used for his treatment. Since then, the family has been out of money. Her mother has to take care of her father, so she cannot work. Quynh Giao has had to take care of all of her own expenses, including food, living expenses, and tuition. She also has to help her parents with paperwork and other tasks. Seeing the family’s difficult situation, the teachers at her school worked hard to help her apply for a scholarship from the Vinh Long Television Station. The family lived on the scholarship money for over a year. However, the scholarship money is now running out. In the future, if there is no help, Quynh Giao will probably have to drop out of school. Her family’s situation does not allow it. If she is determined to choose her future and the path of college, she will have to leave her family behind. Conversely, if she chooses her family, she will have to give up her future.
