Supporting difficult circumstances during covid-19 in 2021
The most stressful COVID-19 phase in Ho Chi Minh City was when the city was locked down for several months in 2021. All business activities were stopped, and many families fell into poverty because of long-term job loss.

The most stressful COVID-19 phase in Ho Chi Minh City was when the city was locked down for several months in 2021. All business activities were stopped, and many families fell into poverty because of long-term job loss.
With the giving heart to help people through hardships, Be Better Foundation expanded the scope of support to help more families of poor students in extremely difficult circumstances.
*** Sponsorship criteria:
- Families with children who are still in school and are poor
- Parents who are seriously affected by the epidemic and have no regular jobs
- Inability to cover basic daily living expenses until the pandemic ends
*** Sponsorship method:
Do not distribute food because it poses a risk of community infection. Food in supermarkets and markets authorized by the government can still be purchased. Only support money through wire transfer or through transfer by ID card number (received at the nearest bank), is accepted. Alternatively, organizers will arrange the most convenient and safe way to receive money.
*** Funding amount: For each student’s household
- Family of four or more members: VND 200,000/day x 15 days = VND 3 million
- Family of three members: VND 150,000/day x 15 days = VND 2.25 million
- Family of two members (1 student + 1 parent [orphaned parent]): VND 100,000/day x 15 days = VND 1.5 million
- Other special circumstances: providing a higher level of support
In summary, our team spent more than two months helping families in difficulty because of the impact of the epidemic.
With the additional support of colleagues, friends, and sponsors, the fund helped more than 300 families and more than 1,000 people. A total amount of VND 501,250,000 was donated.

Parents are divorced, 2 children live with their mother, the mother’s health is weak, she works as a hired laborer but cannot pay for her 2 children’s education. 2 children have to work part-time to pay for their own meals, accommodation, and school fees. The situation is very difficult.
2nd charity football tournament “My shoes on the field – your shoes to school”
“My shoes on the field – your shoes to school” is an association football tournament for companies and benefactors. It is held by the Be Better Foundation with the purpose of raising fund to buy shoes for poor students in remote areas.

Every day in highland and remote areas, hundreds and thousands of children require eating, studying, and growing up to be good people who benefit society.
