Quynh Nhi’s parents divorced when she was in primary school. Since then, her mother has been working tirelessly to raise Quynh Nhi and her younger brother and support their studies. Right from the beginning, their family faced financial hardships, and life has become even more challenging ever since the Covid pandemic broke out. With her deteriorating health, Nhi’s mother struggles to find stable employment. She takes on whatever work she can find to earn money for the expensive tuition fees of her two children who are both attending university simultaneously.
In recognition of their family’s difficult circumstances and their mother’s sacrifices, Quynh Nhi and her sister started working part-time jobs early on. They earned money to cover their own meals, accommodation, and pay a part of their tuition fees. Despite their efforts, the family’s situation remains extremely challenging.
